    The first health and demographic surveillance systems (HDSS) Asia network meeting was organised by UNU-IIGH and the Asia Pacific Observatory on Health Systems and Policies (APO) on March 5th 2020 at the Alila Bangsar. Participants from all over South East Asia and South Asia region participated in the discussion in person as well as virtually.

    Participants shared their experiences managing and coordinating HDSS programmes, exchanging best practices as well as challenges. The meeting concluded with an agreement on practicals ways to move forward as a coalition and support each other to enhance HDSS in Asia to inform health systems with contextualised evidence.
