Global Health Law Committee Explores Health Security Challenges

    On 19 February 2015 UNU-IIGH Senior Research Fellow Dr. Obijiofor Aginam participated in the inaugural meeting of the newly established Global Health Law Committee of the International Law Association (ILA) in Geneva, Switzerland. The meeting was hosted by the Global Health Programme of the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies.

    Participants from academia, UN agencies and programmes, and civil society explored the evolving dynamics of global health security challenges and the need to develop new global governance tools to tackle them. The expert meeting explored long-term questions to guide and shape future research and policy agendas on global health security.
