Dr. Jose Siri is an epidemiologist focusing on infectious disease transmission, systems thinking and global urban health. He joined UNU-IIGH in February 2014. Dr. Siri has recently worked with the International Council for Science to develop their new global initiative Health and Wellbeing in the Changing Urban Environment – a Systems Analysis Approach. He spent several years at Vienna’s International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis, and has worked on four continents.
He earned his BS in Ecology and Systematics from Cornell University, and his MPH in International Health and PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Michigan.
