    Biographical Statement

    Dr Sagri Singh is the Chief of Gender and Health at the United Nations University International Institute for Global Health. Prior to joining UNU-IIGH, Sagri was a Senior Gender Equality Advisor with UNICEF. She has been a strategic international health and public policy senior manager with 20+ years of experience in integrating gender equality in health and development through research, strategy development, program implementation and advocacy.

    Sagri brings together communications and leadership skills working across multiple geographies and institutions including government, academia, private sector, international and local non-profits, bilateral and multilateral agencies as well as technical expertise in sexual and reproductive health and rights, immunization, gender equality, HIV prevention, adolescent health and skills, child marriage, introduction of health technologies and gender considerations in community health systems.  She has a PhD in Population and Reproductive Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and an Msc in International Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health.
