Canada’s Public Health 2015 conference provides the national public health forum to strengthen efforts to improve health and well-being, to share the latest research and information, to promote best practice, and to advocate for public health issues and policies grounded in research.
On Thursday 28 May 2015, in partnership with the David Suzuki Foundation, UNU-IIGH is sponsoring a workshop on the Right to a Healthy Environment, moderated by Professor Trevor Hancock from the University of Victoria and Professor Anthony Capon from UNU-IIGH.
The workshop is founded in the understanding that the public health and the environmental movements share many common concerns because environmental harm almost always results in harm to human health. Both also share many common approaches, including using legislative and community development strategies to bring about positive social and environmental change.
To register for the workshop, please visit the Public Health 2015 Conference website.
