    INVITATION

    Psychological First Aid (PFA) Workshop

Psychological First Aid (PFA) was developed by the World Health Organization (WHO) and other international agencies. PFA involves humane, supportive and practical help to fellow human beings suffering from serious crises events. PFA may be practiced, not only medical experts but also any field workers including administrative staff and volunteers among others. Refer to http://www.who.int/mental_health/publications/guide_field_workers/en/

With the strong initiative and support from WHO; PFA has been widely implemented during the East Japan Earthquake, Haiti, Africa, among others.

This invitation is open to all persons interested in knowing more about PFA. It is not limited to medical professionals or academicians, but also anyone who is involved in disaster and recovery work as well as those who may potentially be involved in disasters and crises themselves. All are welcomed to participate in the 3-hour face to face training.

Refer to the workshop brochure here, and more photos during the workshop here.
