The key objectives of the workshop are:

    • To provide an overview of the key issues related to promoting gender equality in tobacco control and explore how it is relevant to the work of the WHO TFI team
    • To showcase transferable examples in tobacco control (and from other areas that can be applied to tobacco control) to counter the gender impacts on health
    • To support the TFI team in exploring ways to address gender needs/ barriers in their efforts to control tobacco use, explore potential solutions, and promote action to improve gender equality
