Prof. Toshiko Kamo is the president of the Institute of Women’s Health at Tokyo Women’s Medical University and well-known psychiatrist providing medical treatment as well as supports for women’s victims of domestic violence, gender-based violence among others.
She serves as a board member of Japanese Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. It will be remarkable that the institute includes departments of psychiatry gynecology, dermatology, paediatrics and Chinese medicine, and all the staffs are women.
