The United Nations University International Institute for Global Health (UNU-IIGH) will host a public seminar, Data and Policies for Improving Child and Women Health on Wednesday, 14 March 2018 from 10:30 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. The talks will feature SCHEMA (“Systems Thinking and Place-Based Methods for Healthier Malaysian Cities”) alumni working on these issues in Malaysia and the UK.

Professor Shantini Paranjothy is the Scientific Lead for HealthWise Wales, a national initiative funded by health and Care Research Wales to engage large numbers of people in Wales with health and social care research. She is an expert in large-scale, long-term cohort studies for maternal and perinatal health.
Dr. Arunah Chandran is a Maternal and Child Health Officer with experience in both clinical and public health settings, and is pursuing a doctoral degree in Epidemiology in University Malaya. Her current research involves examining reproductive characteristics and cardiovascular risks in women and their policy implications.
