On May 19th, 2017, UNU-IIGH will co-sponsor a panel on sustainable transportation and health at the University of the Andes in Bogotá, Colombia. Transport is among the most critical elements of design for sustainable urban development, impacting health through a multitude of potential pathways, and some of the greatest innovations in urban transport have come from Latin American cities. This panel brings together representatives from Bogotá’s municipal and health governance systems with researchers and experts in this field to explore creative new solutions for transport and health.
This is an initiative of LAC-Urban Health, the Urban Health Network for Latin America and the Caribbean, co-founded by UNU-IIGH, ECLAC, and the Drexel Dornsife School of Public Health. For more information, please contact José Siri.
